Grant Information

Project Objectives

  1. Evaluate the impact of non-point or dispersed sources of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the sewershed (including PFAS-contaminated groundwater infiltration) on PFAS mass loading to wastewater treatment plants.
  2. Assess how PFAS loading from non-point or dispersed sources of PFAS in the sewershed may affect treatment efficiency and reuse water quality.
  3. Improve understanding of PFAS precursor contributions.
  4. Identify potential strategies to mitigate PFAS loading from non-point or disbursed sources of PFAS in the sewershed.
