5426 - Investigation of Non-Point Sources of PFAS in Sewersheds and Potential Mitigation Strategies
Grant Information
Project Objectives
- Evaluate the impact of non-point or dispersed sources of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the sewershed (including PFAS-contaminated groundwater infiltration) on PFAS mass loading to wastewater treatment plants.
- Assess how PFAS loading from non-point or dispersed sources of PFAS in the sewershed may affect treatment efficiency and reuse water quality.
- Improve understanding of PFAS precursor contributions.
- Identify potential strategies to mitigate PFAS loading from non-point or disbursed sources of PFAS in the sewershed.
